FAQ
Everything patients ask before their first delivery — eScripts, pricing, PBS, delivery, and your data.
No. Dava is a technology platform that powers prescription delivery for licensed Australian pharmacies. All dispensing — including checking your eScript and preparing your medicines — is performed by our licensed partner pharmacy and its AHPRA-registered pharmacists. Dava never dispenses medicines itself.
When your GP writes you an electronic prescription, you receive an SMS or email containing an 18-character token. Submit that token in your Dava dashboard and our partner pharmacy’s pharmacist verifies it in their dispensing system — typically within 4 hours on business days. The pharmacist confirms the medicine details after verification; you never have to enter medicine names yourself.
Prescription (S4) medicines dispensed by our licensed partner pharmacy, plus over-the-counter products in the Shop. S8 controlled medicines are not available through this platform. A valid Australian e-prescription is required for all script medicines.
Dava’s subscription pricing uses private (non-PBS) supply, which is often cheaper than the standard PBS co-payment for eligible medicines. The trade-off: privately supplied medicines do not count toward your PBS Safety Net. If you hold a concession card, PBS-priced dispensing may cost less for some medicines — you can choose PBS pricing at any time, and your pharmacist can help you compare. Both options are always shown before you confirm.
We’re currently live in Queensland, delivering via AusPost Express with full parcel tracking. We’ll expand to more states as we partner with pharmacies in each region — join up to be notified when we reach yours.
Medicines ship via AusPost Express with tracking sent to your email and account. You choose your delivery cadence per medicine — every 4, 6, or 8 weeks — and we send a heads-up before each dispatch. Each parcel has a flat $6.95 delivery fee.
We alert you 14 days before your script is due to expire, giving you time to get a renewal from your GP. Deliveries for that medicine pause automatically until a fresh, valid e-prescription is submitted and verified by the pharmacist.
Yes. Cancel or pause anytime directly from your account dashboard — no phone calls, no retention maze. Cancel within your first 14 days and the plan fee is refunded pro-rata. See our cancellation and refund policy for details.
Dava accesses private supply pricing for eligible medicines, which is typically lower than standard retail pharmacy prices. Your exact prices are always shown clearly in your account before you confirm — we don’t publish medicine-specific prices on this website.
